Softphone:international calling,
voicemail and instant messaging
Our software enables the user to call other PC users as well as fixed and mobile telephone subscribers in every country or city of the world.
Internet telephony is coming of age: on top of low cost, there is greater reliability, plus you can call:
PC to phone,
phone to PC,
PC to PC.
It is not just "voice over IP" communication but also a computer-based voicemail box integrated tightly with instant messaging (computer text chat) and a phonebook management system.
Users themselves can create, share and maintain their phone book (directory).
Calling takes place by using a compact interface which consists of emulations of familiar mobile phone features. You can initiate a call by activating one of the following:
a contact from the phonebook,
an entry in your call history,
quick/automated redialling,
entering manually a PSTN (regular phone number, which may include a PBX extension or international/country codes),
entering an IP address of a computer.
When doing conference calls, you can use any of the above-mentioned dialling methods at any time.
The good news is that Cordialtech has created a software phone which is truly global - all you need is an internet-connected PC from which you can log into your softphone account and start receiving and making phonecalls.
Further, you can send DTMF or the so-called touch tones (full support, including SIP DTMF), keep an eye on the call duration timer and the caller ID display and block junk callers. For international callers we plan to add a handy feature displaying an estimate of local time for your callee (if the country/area code or the IP address contains enough data).
If you're a paying customer, you can instantly view your account balance.
Cordialtech's softphone has a few more features resembling those in a regular phone: call forwarding (unconditional, programmed at no answer) and manual transfer during the conversation.
